Its badly affected our life and lifestyle. Local Government also announced limited lock down in certain areas, making contentment zone. Friends relatives everyone is worried about this infection and every one eagerly waiting for vaccines.

I think when you are reading this you are also worried about this “coronavirus infection”. I am not going to describe the statistic about the corona virus impact and latest count, rather I going to share you the symptoms which you should know and share this to your friend’s relatives so they can be aware and take precaution.

Now at list we all know that this virus is an infection which attacks the respiratory system and most of the COVID positive patient having below symptoms which you should know. Still we don’t know why and how certain symptoms come up. However, a small study by Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), USA has now found that almost all the patients treated for the infection had three common symptoms, What are those “Symptoms” ?

Flu-like symptoms It’s One of the symptoms, immune disorders, muscle pain and headaches. These are the “common symptoms which like normal influenza”. People with “COVID-19 reported a wide range of symptoms” – ranging from “mild symptoms to severe illness”. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

As per the study’s findings, Approx. 96%, i.e. of patients surveyed said that they experienced one of the three typical symptoms- fever, cough or shortness of breath.

Cough:

Coughing was found to be the most common symptom of a rising COVID like illness. This is a most common mild symptoms of COVID-19 start off like a cold or the flu, one symptom which can cause worry is the presence of dry cough ,a non-productive cough which doesn’t involve sputum, and is harsher and makes your voice coarse. 80% of those surveyed recorded the presence of a lasting cough as their primary symptom.

Fever,

Fever is the second most common symptom dominant in corona virus patients is also a typical symptom, most likely, a result of irritation and can stay up 2-14 days after exposure to corona virus. While fever is often subsequent of many infections, if you record a temperature of more than 100 degrees for more than 3 days and have other associated symptoms, it can be a cause of concern.

Shortness of breath,

Feeling restless or shortness of breath, is the third most common symptom the contributors verified. However, according to the findings, the symptom was more likely observed in patients who hospitalized for the contagion.

Since it’s a respiratory tract infection, it targets the immune cells in the nasal tract and often blocks the airways, leading to difficulty of breath. A dip in oxygen levels can also make matters worse and hence, this is one symptom which should never be ignored.

However as per the CDC survey findings, several other reports that the corona virus can lead to a diversity of symptoms and should not be ignored as the common flu. Muscle pain, chills, headache, gastrointestinal issues such as abdominal pains and nausea were also commonly reported. Some, also reported feeling a loss of sense of smell or taste as a affecting symptom.

Recently, another study done by the UK based King’s College observed that skin rash or infection of any kind might also be a prominent symptom of the infection after analyzing 3,36,000 people across the UK.

These are not all possible symptoms. CDC continuing updating symptom details as they learn more about COVID-19.

As per CDC, Influenza (Flu) and COVID-19 are both transmissible respiratory illnesses, but they are caused by different viruses. COVID-19 is caused by infection with a new corona virus (called SARS-CoV-2) and flu is caused by infection with influenza viruses. Some of these symptoms of flu and COVID-19 are similar, it may be hard to tell the difference between them based on symptoms, and more testing may be needed to confirm an analysis. Flu and COVID-19 having many similar characteristics. Still there is a lot to know about COVID-19

Conclusion

Though we know the CDC’s director guideline, that wearing masks can be a simple and effective way of controlling the spread of COVID-19 and manage transmission of symptoms in both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases. Now we have to be very serious in this otherwise community transfer can not be stopped.
